Steven H. Winterbauer

Steve is the firm’s founder and managing member. He has over thirty years of experience counseling and litigating in employment and labor matters, public and private, under federal, state and local law.

He has represented employers large and small, from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies, providing counsel through expansions, contractions and pivots, and guidance regarding protection of trade secrets and other business assets and interests. Steve demystifies the legal process for clients, excels at imposing structure on ill-defined or shifting circumstances, and places a premium on clear and frequent communication throughout.

Prior to founding Winterbauer & Diamond in 1996, Steve was a partner at Foster, Pepper & Shefelman (now Foster Garvey) and served as Chair of its Employment & Labor Group.
